If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we would find in each person's life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility. -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Baby Long

"You formed my inward parts, You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them." Psalm 139:13-16

We  have always heard the phrase "And then there were three...."  Well, surprise!!! Long, party of 3 please.  We are just doing our part to make sure there are enough Long's in the world.  Little peanut's estimated arrival is in October.  Because we are away from family and friends at the moment, I thought I would use yet another great idea found on Pinterest.  This sweet girl created a weekly questionnaire about the baby that I will fill out, along with a growing belly picture.
Peanut-13 Weeks
How far along? 13 Weeks
Baby is the size of a... Georgia Peach!
Total weight gain: 1 Kilo

Maternity clothes? Still wearing loose long skirts and dresses.  I just realized that I can no longer button my normal pants ....  :/  Time for the maternity pants Ben brought back from Texas!
  Yippee for elastic bands!!!!
Stretch marks? No
pe
Sleep?: Not sleeping great.  I roll around all night trying to get comfortable and then when I finally do, I have to pee.  Najee is about to move to the couch, he takes up wayyy too much of my room to stretch out in an "X".

Best moment this week: Having Ben poke my belly and say "Whoa mama".  He hasn't been able to tell a difference until then!  Disclaimer:  It is only acceptable for your husband to poke your belly and say anything if you are pregnant.  Funny how most rules go out the window during this time.  I have also found that anyone feels it is ok to touch my stomach which, just to be clear, is never ok unless I know you VERY well.  For the record, the belly is not all baby....I would say it is 1/4 baby, 1/4 milkshakes, 1/4 mac and cheese, and 1/4 cereal!
Miss Anything? I really miss morning coffee time with Ben.  Although I have had a few cups (which were amazing), I am trying not to drink any caffeine.  Lately he has been getting up at 5:30 or 6 to take Naj out so I can sleep for another hour or so.  When I get up it is time to go to work.  I guess I miss sleeping on a normal schedule too....
Movement: Not yet and I am anxiously waiting!  I hear it won't be for a few more weeks
.
Food cravings: Mac and Cheese!!!!!  mmmm.....is it bad all 7 boxes Ben brought back are gone?  And....Cereal!!!!!  Lots and lots of milk and cereal.  My favorite is Honey Nut Cheerios but it cost about 10 bucks a box here so I am having to find other alternatives.  I also love oranges and edamame.  I had a huge craving for dried fruit when we were heading to Siwa.  They only sell it at one little shack on the way.  I was looking forward to it all week and when we got there in the morning, they were closed.  I cried to Ben (who lovingly explained we will come back in a few days, trying not to laugh).  That was a bad day.  I did however get some on the way back, but the craving had subsided.... :(

Anything making you queasy or sick: Oh, my, word.  Yes.  Chicken is d-i-g-u-s-t-i-n-g.  Poor Ben.

Gender: 2 more weeks
.  Eek!
Labor Signs: Hope not, that would be bad.

Symptoms: Nauseous at night time still. This week I have had a headache and a few back pains from sleeping wrong.
Belly Button in or out?  It is still hanging on....be strong, little guy!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Did you not hear the crying over dried fruit story?  Can I say happy AND moody? That way I cover all emotions that are going on....
Looking forward to: Finding out if Baby Long is David or Davida (according to Dave Kuntzman).  I am also really looking forward to finding out where this little peanut is going to sleep in October.
